Privacy Policy for Radio Veer Bundeli

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 29 August 2026

Radio Veer Bundeli (the “App”) is published by Sandhya Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the App collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Radio Veer Bundeli Android application and to no other product.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

The short version. The App has no accounts and no sign-up, so we never ask for your name, phone number, email address or date of birth.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone audio or files. We do not sell or rent anyone's data, and the App shows no advertising.

Recordings you make stay on your own phone. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

1. Information the App Collects

1.1 Information you give us directly

The App has no registration, login or profile. The only time you provide information directly is when you choose to contact us — by email, or through the WhatsApp support link in the menu. In that case we receive whatever you put in your message, and we use it only to answer you.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Like most mobile apps, the App and the services it relies on collect limited technical information automatically:

  • Device and app information — device model, Android version, app version, language and country settings, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier.
  • Usage information — which screens are opened, whether playback started or stopped, and similar in-app events, used in aggregate to understand which features are actually used.
  • Diagnostic information — crash reports and error logs, so we can find and fix faults.
  • Network information — your IP address and connection type, which are visible to any internet server your device connects to, including the radio streaming server.

This information is not linked to your name, and we do not attempt to identify individual listeners from it.

1.3 Push notification data

If you allow notifications, a push token is generated for your device so that announcements can be delivered to it. A push token identifies a device installation, not a person, and it changes if you reinstall the App or clear its data.

1.4 What the App does not collect

To be explicit, the App does not request or collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, postal address or date of birth
  • Your location, at any level of precision
  • Your contacts, call log, SMS messages, photos, camera or microphone
  • Any payment or financial information — the App is free and contains no purchases
  • Any government identification number

2. Recordings You Make in the App

The App lets you record the live stream you are listening to. This deserves its own section, because how it works determines what happens to your data.

  • No microphone is involved. Recording saves a copy of the audio data the App is already downloading in order to play it. Nothing around you is captured, and the App holds no microphone permission at all — you can confirm this on the App's permissions screen in Android settings.
  • Recordings never leave your device. They are written to the App's own private folder on your phone. We have no server that receives them, and no part of the App uploads them anywhere.
  • You control them completely. Inside My Recordings you can play, rename, share and delete any recording. Sharing is entirely your choice and happens through Android's own share sheet, to an app you pick.
  • Uninstalling removes them. Because they live in the App's private storage, deleting the App deletes the recordings with it. Save anything you wish to keep before uninstalling.
  • Recordings are for personal use. Broadcast content may be protected by copyright. Please respect the rights of the station and of the artists whose work it plays.

3. How the Information Is Used

  • To stream the radio, keep playback running in the background, and show song information
  • To remember your in-app preferences, such as the sleep timer
  • To send announcements about programmes and station news, if you have allowed notifications
  • To understand in aggregate which features are used, so the App can be improved
  • To diagnose crashes, playback failures and other faults
  • To answer you when you contact support
  • To protect the App and its users against abuse and misuse

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

4. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following services. Each has its own privacy policy, which governs how that company handles the data it receives.

ServicePurposeData it may receive
Google Firebase — Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Firestore, Crash reportingUsage statistics, push delivery, app configurationApp-instance ID, device and app details, IP address, in-app events
OneSignalPush notificationsPush token, device and app details, notification delivery status
Google Play services — in-app update and in-app reviewOffering app updates and the optional rating promptHandled by Google Play on your device; we receive no personal data from it
Radio streaming providerDelivering the live audio streamIP address, connection time and duration, bandwidth used — the standard server log of any streaming connection

Their policies: Google  ·  Firebase  ·  OneSignal.

The menu also links out to our pages on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X. Opening one of those leaves the App, and from that point the policy of that platform applies, not this one.

5. Permissions and Why They Are Needed

PermissionWhy the App needs it
Internet, Network state, Wi-Fi stateTo stream audio and to detect when the connection drops
Foreground service (media playback)To keep the radio playing when you switch to another app or lock the screen
Wake lockTo stop the device from suspending playback while it is asleep
Read phone stateTo pause the radio when a call arrives and resume it afterwards
Schedule exact alarmTo make the sleep timer stop playback at the time you set
NotificationsTo show playback controls and, if you allow it, station announcements

The App does not request microphone, storage, location, camera or contacts permissions.

6. Where Information Is Stored, and for How Long

6.1 On your device

Station settings, your preferences and your recordings are stored in the App's own storage on your phone. They are not transmitted to us. Clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App, removes them.

6.2 On service providers' servers

Analytics events, crash reports and push tokens are held by Google and OneSignal on our behalf, under their standard retention periods. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form; push tokens stop being valid once you uninstall the App or turn notifications off. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information is disclosed only in these situations:

  • To the service providers listed in section 4, strictly so they can perform the function described there
  • Where the law requires it, such as a valid legal order, or to establish or defend a legal claim
  • To protect people, where disclosure is necessary to address fraud, security or safety
  • On a business transfer, if the App is ever transferred to another operator, in which case this policy travels with it and you will be told

8. Security

Traffic to our service providers uses encrypted connections, and information stored on your device sits in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot read. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device itself protected with a screen lock and up-to-date software.

9. Your Choices and Rights

9.1 Choices you can exercise in the App or on your phone

  • Notifications — turn them off at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Radio Veer Bundeli → Notifications. Playback is unaffected.
  • Recordings — delete any of them individually in My Recordings.
  • All local data — Android Settings → Apps → Radio Veer Bundeli → Storage → Clear data removes everything the App holds on your device. Uninstalling does the same.
  • Advertising identifier — Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete it, which limits what analytics can associate.

9.2 Rights you can ask us to honour

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy in portable form, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. To exercise any of these, email us at the address in section 13.

Please note that because the App holds no account and no name, the technical information we can locate is limited. Tell us your device model and roughly when you used the App so we can identify the relevant records. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires, and there is no charge for a reasonable request.

9.3 India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

If you are in India, you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we process, request its correction or erasure, nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, and raise a grievance with us. Use the contact address in section 13 for all of these, and we will respond within the statutory period.

9.4 European Economic Area and United Kingdom — GDPR

Where the GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract, for the functions you asked for such as streaming and playback; consent, for notifications and analytics, which you may withdraw at any time; and legitimate interests, for security, fault diagnosis and preventing abuse. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

9.5 California — CCPA/CPRA

California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and the purposes for collecting them, request deletion, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience radio application and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your country — which is 18 in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service providers operate globally, so information may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, those providers rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect the information in transit and at rest.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes or the law changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and a significant change will also be announced in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised policy. Please check back from time to time.
